Method of calculating popularity and how to use it.
  • On Instagram the popularity of a particular hashtag is equal to the frequency of its use.
    The frequency of use is the number of posts on Instagram with a specific hashtag.
    It follows from this that the popularity of a set of hashtags is the total number of posts of all hashtags included in the set.
  • The more popular a hashtag set is, the more likes and followers you can get from it.
    At the same time, the more popular a set of hashtags, the faster you have to add it to the description of the post or comment to it, because the feed of hashtags is chronological and posts on more popular hashtags quickly replace each other at the top of the feed.
How to understand and use color codes (red, orange, yellow)?
  • Red - High popularity - More than 10,000,000.

  • I m a control freak. Not when it comes to other people- I m a big believer in the live and let live philosophy- but for mySELF and my LIFE, oh yea, major control freak. In fact, when I don t feel like I have TOTAL control over my life(reality check: we always do), my anxiety shoots through the roof and makes it seem as though I have no control at all- whichhhh in turn sends my mind into a crazy tailspin of worst case scenarios. It s really freaking exhausting. ⠀ ⠀ I wish I had a really profound life lesson/solution to share here but the reality is that I struggle with this on a daily basis. Exercise and nutrition help- they give me CONTROL over my health and a RELEASE for anxiety. But I can t workout all day long just to feel control. That would be insane. And counterproductive. Anyway, as I am always in student mode, looking to learn and grow and adapt and shift- I learned today that my desire and need for control stems from my EGO and while I am certain there s a lot more digging and learning to be done around that, I ll leave you(and myself) with this: ⠀ ⠀ EGO says, once everything falls into place, I will find peace. ⠀ ⠀ SPIRIT says, find peace and everything will fall into place. ⠀ ⠀ ⠀

  • I absolutely love weighted blankets. The company that made this one has nice blankets but I reached out to CS 3 times for advice on what to do with the no answers. I hand stitched the area seen in the pic of you swipe to the right but I have 10 other areas I need to hand stitch as well. I m going to have to modify and add two more anchor points because shifting has been a major issue for weighted blankets. The other shell is perfect it s just the inner part. If you get a weighted blanket always measure it first. Mine is a bit shorter both LxW vs. what is advertised but it doesn t bother me. Then take the inner part out and go over every single pouch to check the stitching and make sure they re filling in it. One of my pockets doesn t have filling, only pellets. I m going to have to find a seamstress to help with that fix. I do truly love this blanket and I m thankful to have it. Overall I would recommend it but it will probably need to be sewn so be prepared. Feel free to DM me with pics if you re wondering if yours is going to need to be sewn or not. The issue is if it s not correctly sewn the beads can filter into different pockets and the weight of the blanket will not be evenly distributed which is important.

  • Managed to do my make up today and did a little shopping tour with my sister. I got me a new jacket and two colouring books, I need something to keep my mind off my ED and to calm me down. I m feeling so stressed but also so exhausted. Also had a really challenging lunch today. I ate outside my house with my sister a whole plate of noodles. I was so scared but I did it. I looked for something with a low fat level because of my pancreas but I had a lot of trouble after eating my lunch. I always struggle with stomach pain and nausea after eating since my pancreatitis(which is really bad for my ED though because the voice of anorexia is even louder then) but the problems today were extreme. I felt the same pain like I experienced with my pancreatitis yesterday evening it s always around my belly area and in my back but not as bad as it was the last two times. The pain got worse as my day went by but I was able to handle it at that point. It got really worse after lunch, I was in so much pain and had the feeling that I m going to throw up. My stoma also caused problems today. It was really swollen this morning and also started to stop working. We went home and I had to lay down at my sister s house cause I wasn t able to handle the pain. It took me a while till I was able to stand up again, as soon as my stoma started to work I felt a little bit of bubbling in it and my nausea started to slow down, thank god. A few hours later the pain eased a little bit too and I m so glad about that. Eating is so difficult because of my ED and if I m able to eat mentally my body is rejecting food because of my affected pancreas. I m physically not able to eat the amount of food I have to because of my ED. This situation really brings me down. Either I m unable to eat because of my ED or because of my physical problems, that sucks. It s difficult to choose recovery from your ED when your physical health is allright, but sometimes it seems impossible to me because of my shitty physical health situation. I m trying so hard to stick so my meal plan but my body isn t able to handle it. I m still trying though and hopefully it will get better with time. Hope you re having a nice day

  • Firework is simply a explosion masked by a cheerfull front that s how humans can be too. Let me explain. Acting happier than you really are, we all do it or have done it. We are scared to lay our hardship out for everyone to see we hide it by acting a different way. On the inside out emotions are bubbling waiting to explode, whatever we may be facing or going through. It s not healthy but here we are a lot of us still do it, so do I. I m trying to change that and the way I feel comfortable doing that is through my passion: make-up. You know make-up always gets viewed as dolling up and being a pretty girl but it s not just that. Make-up is art. It is. A lot of people won t agree It s just make-up, but for me it expresses my emotions. I can use my face as a blank canvas and pour my heart on it. Like I did today. We all have battles and struggles that we go through and finding ways to unload it in a healthy way is a beautiful thing. It s the first time creating a look like this and it felt awesome, I was able to reflect my emotions on my face. The outerlayer looks cheerfull and colourful but the inside is red and hurt. And that s okay to admit. If anyone read this till the end I challenge you to portray your deepest emotions through something you love: makeup, drawing, cooking whatever. You don t even have to share it but just doing it will make you feel a bit better believe me. And the last thing I wanted to add. your emotions are not a joke or not important don t let anyone tell you that please seek help if it is too much for you.   • Many people who contemplate suicide don t realize how much enjoyment they could get out of life if they challenged these feelings.   • Yoga isn t just headstands and backbends ⠀ It sure does look impressive when you see a photo on Instagram of someone doing these poses, and I hope that one day I ll be able to do a handstand! But for now, I still struggle to touch my toes at times! There are so many variables to how flexible you are, e.g. the room temperature(the hotter it is the more your body allows you to go into certain poses) or time of the day(you might notice you are more stiff in the mornings). ⠀ ⠀ Personally I find yoga to be releasing for my body and my mind. After sitting all day at work, certain poses, especially hip opening, feel incredible! Not to mention shavasana, the final pose where you get to lay down on your back and relax. I remember many years ago when my only knowledge of nutrition came from internet: blogs and growing social media experts. After months of reading various people opinions on what healthy eating is, I ended up cutting out many food groups, spent lots of money on supplements and superfoods, and even avoided eating out with friends because I feared all the devil ingredients that might end up in my meal. ⠀*⠀ Scaremongering in the nutrition field is nothing new, just think back to the 70s when eggs were bad for your cholesterol levels and low-fat was the answer to everything.*⠀ Start checking where the information you are reading comes from, who is behind the research that might be quoted to support the claims and use common sense before believing everything you read. ⠀*⠀ P.S. Here s an idea for a quick dinner or lunch: boiled quinoa with canned red kidney beans and tuna steak with baked sweet potato. Sprinkled with nigella seeds, olive oil, dried chilli flakes and black pepper to taste.

  • Yesterday I had the privilege of attending a mindfulness day-long retreat on Freedom from Anxiety with Diana Winston, a renowned mindfulness teacher, author, and director of mindfulness education at MARC(at UCLA). I wanted to share some helpful tips that we talked about yesterday that I ve implemented in my life(sorry it s so long lol I just have a lot to share!):⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1. Anxiety is a NATURAL human response to stress. We are all hardwired to feel it because it saved our ancestors from being eaten by tigers and stuff. You don t have to feel shame for feeling anxious. That being said, when anxiety is chronic and interferes with your day to day wellbeing, it should be addressed. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 2. Anxiety stems from not being present; your mind is either replaying old memories or predicting the future, usually the worst outcome. HOWEVER, Diana shared a statistic that 85 of the things we worry about don t come true! The things that do happen, 79 of people said they handled it better than they could have imagined! Just hearing that was super comforting for me. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 3. It s very hard to THINK your way out of the trance of fear. We often just end up with obsessive thinking, unhealthy addictions/distractions, or blaming ourselves for feeling these feelings(). That s where mindfulness comes in. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ She defined mindfulness as: paying attention to the present moment experience with openness, curiosity, and willingness to be with what is. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ That s the key! Not trying to resist or run or reject your anxious feelings. JUST BE WITH THE FEELING. It can be uncomfortable and scary to feel the anxiety/ bodily sensations but that s how you get to a place of peace! Anxious thoughts are like clouds that float through the sky and will always pass. You don t have to get caught in the story or thought. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I have tons of more tips but I don t want to make this post too long, so let me know if you want me to make a part 2 on dealing with anxiety.

  • Do you get afternoon energy dips and crave sugar ⠀ ⠀ Energy crashes are common around 3pm, especially during the working week. But it doesn t have to be that way. ⠀ ⠀(Remember, there is nothing wrong with having an occasional biscuit or a piece of cake etc. Life would not be complete without those as food is so much more that just calories and nutrients!) ⠀ ⠀ It is when cravings for sugar are daily occurrences and are used as a pick me up solution to energy dips that you should take a step back and consider if this could be a result of a chronic stress. ⠀ ⠀ Why does our body crave sugar when we are stressed or anxious ⠀ Our body runs on two sources of energy: glucose and fat. Glucose is the immediate source of energy that gets burnt first, whereas fat is for the longer run. When we are stressed, our body goes into the survival mode- it thinks that we continuously need a supply of glucose, the immediate fuel, to help keep our storage full to be able to run away from danger(that s how our body sees stress). It is a survival mechanism and by craving simple sugars and coffee, our body supports this mechanism. ⠀ ⠀ Do you need to quit sugar completely in order to stop this cycle ⠀ No. Sugar is not the cause of your stress; however, it perpetuates the issue. Whilst you need to work on the source of the issue(what is causing your stress and how can you change that), in the meantime, whenever you are in a stressful period of your life, support your body with more nutrient-dense slow energy releasing foods: ⠀* Include more vegetables, especially green leafy ones, as these contain minerals such as magnesium and potassium which support our stress hormone(cortisol) producing adrenal glands. ⠀* Reduce coffee intake to minimum. ⠀* Include wholegrain(brown bread, rice or pasta) and healthy fat(avocado, nuts&seeds) containing foods in your diet as these will allow your energy to be sustained throughout the day.

  • Curious about Auricular Chromotherapy for diminishing the symptoms of Anxiety! Jalila made the trip up from DC to visit me after breaking both femurs and her arm when she fell walking down the street. This fall resulted in not only physical pain/ tightness, which we successfully addressed with Posturology& Auriculotherapy, but it also resulted in an emotional trauma which caused Jalila fear when walking outside. Could it be due to something very stressful happening in their life, disease or a hidden eating disorder ⠀*⠀ We are so used to glossy magazines pointing out which celeb lost or gained weight. Who has rolls on their stomach. And who has cellulite.
