Hashtags Ayurveda Instagram

All hashtags are grouped on 30 from the most popular to the least popular.

Why all hashtags are grouped on 30?
  • 30 is the maximum number of hashtags that you can add at once in the description or in the comments to the post according to the rules of Instagram.
How to use 30 hashtags in one post?
  • 1st way: copy the group of 30 hashtags, insert them into the description of the post, save.
  • 2nd way: save the publication without hashtags, copy the group of 30 hashtags and insert them into the comment under your post.
When to publish hashtags? Is it possible to use always the same hashtags? - Important to know!
  • The hashtags must be added at the moment of publication in Instagram or immediately after it, because the hashtag's feed is chronological. An easier explanation: the sooner you add hashtags after the post's publication, the more persons see your post in the feed of hashtags selected.
  • Instagram doesn't like when you use the same hashtags from post to post. Even if the theme of your posts remains the same, you can always choose different hashtags, because there are various elements in the photo. For example, if all your photos represent nature, the hashtags shouldn’t be only "nature", but could be also " sunset", "flower", "sky", "spring" etc.
  • To get more likes, use more general hashtags. For example "cafe" instead of "Starbucks". The hashtags on more general topics are more popular in Instagram, they have more viewings of posts and more likes.

Explanations

Method of calculating popularity and how to use it.
  • On Instagram the popularity of a particular hashtag is equal to the frequency of its use.
The frequency of use is the number of posts on Instagram with a specific hashtag.
It follows from this that the popularity of a set of hashtags is the total number of posts of all hashtags included in the set.
  • The more popular a hashtag set is, the more likes and followers you can get from it.
At the same time, the more popular a set of hashtags, the faster you have to add it to the description of the post or comment to it, because the feed of hashtags is chronological and posts on more popular hashtags quickly replace each other at the top of the feed.
How to understand and use color codes (red, orange, yellow)?
  • Red - High popularity - More than 10,000,000.
  • Orange - Average popularity - More than 1,000,000 and less than 10,000,000.
  • Yellow - Low popularity - Less than 1,000,000.

  • Why do we do we put this on our boxes Because the whole purpose of Self care it to realize what you are, when we get to our center which is the center of everything we realize that our essence is LOVE PEACE and life gets a lot more beautiful once we can operate from our center instead of the ego. And do I think plants assist us with this journey to ourselves, with their profound divine intelligence absolutely I know they do.

  • I m neurotic when it comes to scent. I ve always have been, having beautiful aromas around me at all times is seriously one of things that improves my life. It nurtures me. I can literally feel the plants energy and they heal me with their scent on a subtle mental emotional level. I feel power from them, healing power. So when I formulate products they have to have an aroma profile that attracts you to them. This is how we connect to them this is why we are drawn to some plants over others. The messages from the plant signal your receptors and this information is registered immediately by the body and signals hey I need you or I don t need you right now. Fascinating this relationship, and it has been this way for thousands of years.

  • Nature itself is the best physician Originally from Morocco, tea has always been a part of my culture and lifestyle. Visit any Moroccan s house and the first thing they will do is start brewing tea for you:). It s a very traditional way of showing hospitality and caring for guests, and the making of it is an art and skill. I have little flashbacks of my grandmother so focused in her ritual- carefully plucking the mint, brewing it, and eventually pouring the tea back and forth between the pot and a glass until the flavours blend and bloom, and the liquid turns golden amber. Once she would taste the perfect balance of strength, sweetness, and mintiness, she would hold the silver teapot very high and pour the tea into small ornately patterned glasses.& over there, tea is drunk at the slightest pretext every hour of the day during and in between meals.& It s not something that is done on-the-go or in a hurry, It s meant to be savoured and enjoyed slowly. In high school, my first part-time job was in a tea store where I learned a lot about the origins and properties of tea, but most importantly it opened my mind to the varieties of tea and the endless possibilities of making eccentric tea blends. This one I m sharing with you is a blend made by my mama A perfect mix of; Japanese Sencha leaves Cloves Liquorice Cinnamon Fennel. Strong in taste and smell, every ingredient is pure medicine to your body and mind And every sip is a cleanse. The sencha leaves and fennel are great metabolism boosters and help maintain youthful skin thanks to their high levels of Vitamin C. Fennel and cloves are also amazing for digestion and keeping your teeth white and healthy. Liquorice and cinnamon are literally purifiers purifying your heart, your respiratory system, and also your mind from stress and anxiety.& for my girls, this blend is perfect for helping regulate menstruation cycle and PMSing, with some aphrodisiac properties coming from the cloves Tea is just the perfect and easiest way to access the health benefits of herbs.

  • Slowly trying to incorporate ayurvedic practices into my lifestyle as I am learning about it This book by Reenita Malhotra Hora is the perfect introduction. If you ve never heard about ayurveda I strongly encourage you to look into it! Put simply, it s basically a personalized approach to health guided by two main principles: the mind and the body are inextricably connected nothing has more power to heal and transform the body than the mind We re also all made up of a unique combination of three energy forces, or doshas- vata, pitta, and kapha. Everyone has some of each, but most people tend to have an abundance of one or two of the doshas. Knowing your mind-body type(dosha) can allow you to make better choices about diet, exercise, supplements, and all other aspects of your lifestyle. Which dosha are you SWIPE LEFT TO FIND OUT I am vata! Lively, creative, sometimes anxious and erratic How about you.

  • Is true freedom being able to do whatever you want whenever you want. This was the question posed to us in our Ayurvedic training yesterday(). As a whole, Western society seems to believe true freedom comes from having no limits on what you can and cannot do. But is this really true freedom. To me true freedom is actually having constraints placed on the differing areas of your life. If you have an infinite number of possibilities to choose from it can actually be quite stressful. As humans we thrive with some structure in our life, as long as it serves our goals, and ultimate purpose in life. A small example is the yoga sequence above. I could have decided to just go with the flow and see what happens. Randomly picking movements from the universe of yoga poses. But by placing constraints on the poses I decided to work with I created a balanced and holistic practice. What do you think true freedom is

So what about the Yoga part& how does it tie in Conscious Connection To your physical body, the energy within, and the interplay with our world that surrounds and supports you. So maybe let s switch the order of this pic.do more yoga and as that yogic mindset sinks in, pretty sure you ll want to eat more plants.

  • If you re sick and staying in this dreary Friday evening, have I got the soup for you! This ginger lemongrass chicken noodle soup surprised me with its flavor- and it took less than an hour to put together with a few shortcuts on a busy night. Ginger, lemongrass, and judicious but varied use of spices turn what could ve been a boring meal for both of us into something good for my sickie husband and exciting for(currently healthy) me! It s amazing how the right herbs and spices can transform store-bought goods, so keep plenty of spices on hand for these moments! Husband said through sniffles it s healing me, which is exactly what I hoped to hear find the recipe below. 6 carrots, sliced thin 4 stalks celery, sliced thin 1/2 onion, diced Cook over medium in 3 tbsp olive oil until tender and onions golden. Add two pouches of beef bone broth Turn to high until frozen bone broth comes to a boil Add 2 peeled ginger and tender inside of 1 lemongrass stalk(you will remove these later so keep em large so you can spot them!) Add 1 tsp ground turmeric, 1 tbsp dukkah, 1 tbsp cured sumac from, and a big pinch of kosher salt When stock comes to a boil, turn to medium. Cook for 5 minutes, taste. Does it need more salt More spices You decide. Tear 1/2 a rotisserie chicken into long shreds without skin- I got mine from, add to broth. Chop baby bok choy into strips and separate green from white parts. Add one packet of Tokyo ramen noodles and chopped white stems of boil choy. Cook for 2 min. Ladle soup into large bowls, serve with shredded bok choy greens on top.

Elemental attraction and repulsion are similar to love and hate, like and dislike. For this reason ancient seers of India held the that the Self alone exists, that unity is the basis of all existence that unity of life is the unity of consciousness. PEACE.davidfrawley Vedic Master

  • When I made this formula, I wasn t sure how it would be received. It s on the more traditional, medicinal side of Ayurveda. The formula is designed for relaxation and pain, it contains adaptogens, nervines, and analgesic herbs and is how we create oils as part of a treatment plan for patients. It turns out it is our number one body serum. So that indicates a need for people to relax in their bodies to release trauma from the body and mind. I feel strongly that our society is looking toward holistic healing practices as way to find a deeper level of health, mental and physical. We are finding more and more that we have to turn to nature to truly heal. But what we are really seeking is the ability to tap into our true nature that dwells within us. But first we must calm the body and mind. The premise of all Vedic practices is to calm the mind so that we can unveil our true nature. This is why these herbs are so powerful in terms of guiding us to ourselves. Because until we get there we cannot truly heal.

  • REPLENISH YOURSELF/ Yayy, the sun is shining(and for me maternity-leave has started!). Time for sunbathing and chilling in the park or on the beach. But of course make sure you drink enough to stay hydrated and avoid headaches, achy or red skin, inflammations and certainly hot heated discussions. One of the best Ayurvedic tips I can give you is to start drinking coconut water on a daily basis as it quenches even the strongest thirst, creates moist in the body and rebuilds your bodily fluids. As we all know(once we have experienced drinking coconut water!) one of the main qualities(Gunas) is the cooling effect. This cooling effect works as a shooting anti-inflammatory for your(maybe even sun red) skin and gut. It simply replenishes all your cell membranes which helps you to stay lubricated while at the same time it cleanses your liver and nourishes your kidneys.and last but not least, it is sweet, refreshing and DELICIOUS! What else do you want For the pregnant ladies, coconut water is considered to have the equivalent qualities as plasma(Rasa). Rasa is the juice of life, the first building block of all our tissues(Dhatus) it is very nourishing for you and your baby in the belly! So drink plenty, especially in summertime. Btw, if possible drink coconut water fresh from the nut. If you do not live in the Bahamas you can go to a greengrocery(or in Amsterdam for example to or where they serve fresh ones). Otherwise, drink one without any additives( has a very good one!). If you need more cooling down than add a slice of lime to it(not lemon as this has a heating effect!). Enjoy!

  • RASA TEA/ Bathing in rose oil and flowers this morning(!) to stay hydrated and nourish my Rasa. Rasa is the plasma(the liquid part of our bloodstream) in our body. It s responsible for nourishing all the other tissues(Dhatus) in our body as it acts as a solvent for important proteins, nutrients, gases, and other substances essential to life. When Rasa is strong and in balance you will experience vitality and joy in life. However, when Rasa is depleted you may start to feel dry and irritated. Think about it- when you do not drink enough your bodily fluids/waters(Rasa) will shrink and you will get dehydrated and when there is dryness in the body you will get an achy body as there is not enough fluidity and start to feel irritated. Thus, better to build up your Rasa! Here is an Ayurvedic tip on how to nourish yourself with a Rasa-building Tea. This is what you need: ♡ 1 tbs dry peppermint ♡ 1 tbs fenugreek seeds ♡ 1 tbs fennel seeds ♡ a slice of fresh ginger ♡ 1 tbs flax seeds(Omega 3). Put all the ingredients in a pan with warm water. Bring it to boil and lower the fire. Let it simmer for about 20 minutes. Strain and enjoy! inspired by

But now it s become a joke to our Ayurvedic Blissology() group. Dosha simply put is the energetic quality that defines every persons make up. Everything from your appearance, behaviour, emotions, likes and dislikes. I won t go too much further as it s a complicated subject but if you re interested in more info check out my teacher Insiya s website: yogue.ca. Feeling grateful for all of the Ayurvedic knowledge I ingested over the last week and looking forward to letting it digest over time. • Sunday Health Tip! Step up and take a bow TURMERIC! There s been a lot of chat about turmeric recently and for good reason, it is a health heavy-hitter, used traditionally as a kind of health-insurance policy in Asian countries and now the science has caught up. Indeed it has a string of talents- anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, and the list goes on. You ll find it popping up in lots of our recipes in The Midlife Kitchen because, apart from its impressive healthy CV, it has a lovely earthy taste and adds its neon orange pop to anything it s added to. Recipes to try. our Midlife Spice Mix(and any recipe that uses it!), Midlife Curry Paste, Jamu.

  • Through Yoga you ll learn how to heal the source of all your suffering. The old me was undisciplined, unhappy, stressed and materialistic. I thought I could buy happiness, in my infinite ignorance lay the source of my suffering. You see I was covered in a veil of conditioning that separated me from my essence, my true nature. And through this practice I uncovered my Self. I m not going to pretend it was easy because anytime you have to go inside it s never easy you have to deal with that shit. But it s necessary to access your power. You have to free yourself from the mental patterns that keep you in bondage. I mean it s one thing to post a meme about finding happiness inside of you it s whole other thing to realize it. Realization of what you are is the highest purpose we have and from this place you can truly serve others but you have to do the work. Unfortunately, in realm of evolving your consciousness there s no skipping ahead. PEACE my friends

Don t forget to moisturise after exfoliating.- For this recipe you can use just Vaseline or any other petroleum jelly instead of lip balm.If you feel sugar granules are too big, you can replace it with brown sugar or coffee powder. It s a very simple recipe& equally effective as store bought lip scrubs. I hope you give this a try:) If you try it, then tag me in your post so that I can see it too:) music- www.bensounds.com

It is hard to describe in words what such a silence means to me, but I can tell you that it really enables me to connect with my heart and listen to what is really there. Last time when I was here practicing with my teachers& Sahaj in complete silence I found out that it was time for me to move on and stop working as a lawyer to follow my passion in Yoga& Ayurveda. On top of that I felt that I was ready to become a mother. Now, 8 months later I am here active as an Ayurveda and yoga teacher, fully pregnant. Never have felt such bliss! Curious about how life will unfold, but again I made some huge decisions about were to go and I now know that faith will bring me exactly there were I need to be!

  • SPRING CLEANSE/ As we are slowly moving into springtime you may notice that you start coughing or sneezing more or even are struggling with a severe cold or congestion(as I have at the moment!). According to Ayurveda this is because of all the accumulated lipids, fats and waters we have build up during wintertime. Therefore, this is the moment to start cleansing the body. But, as many of you already know, Ayurveda as a healing system honers the uniqueness of every individual and therefore not all the cleanses are good for everyone. Nevertheless, if you are suffering from congestion and coughing than there are some simple cleansing things you can do. Here are some nice universal tips and tricks: ♡ start with dry brushing or scrubbing your skin to open up the channels ♡ take a death seasalt bath to absorb the toxins from the skin and bring in new fresh minerals ♡ stop abhyanga(self oil-massage) for a couple of weeks ♡ start using neti pot with some himalaya salt every morning and evening ♡ go to the dry sauna(not steamer as this will bring in more of the water element) to sweat out all the accumulated lipids and fats ♡ go for a more invigorating strong yoga practice ♡ start adding chlorella and spirulina to your diet as those herbs will go into your cells and pull out the toxins. If you are living in Amsterdam: there is this shop called.nl here you can buy super good combination tablets with both spirulina and chlorella in it. Take 5 of those tablets 3 times a day after eating for a couple of weeks. If you are pregnant(like me!) than don t take chlorella but only spirulina. All the other things you can do as well- except for the dry sauna- as this can create for your little one the idea of the flu. That been said, I hope this will help you to support your health and cleanse your body so that you can enjoy springtime to the fullest! with all the credits for for this beautiful spring picture!

  • Skin Food: Cardamom. Cardamom is one of my favourite skin food spices, it s such a wonderful therapeutic spice to include into your cooking and as a skincare ingredient. Known as the queen of spices, cardamom is the dried seed pod of a herbaceous plant and is part of the healing ginger plant family. Cardamom has many health benefits and is used widely in ayurvedic cooking, medicine and skincare due to it being tridoshic(balancing for all three doshas). The seed and the oil from the seeds are commonly used medicinally to treat digestive issues, colds, oral issues and many other things. The skin benefits of cardamom are immense, it s antibacterial, detoxify, antioxidant rich, high in vitamin C, and it stimulates blood circulation which improves our overall complexion. There are many easy ways to incorporate cardamom into your skincare and one of my favourite ways is through a face mask. If your skin is looking a little dull and congested try my little DIY cardamom rose mask. Take a good pinch of powdered cardamom, 2 tablespoons of ground up oats and mix with a little pure rose water or warm coconut milk to form a loose paste, apply to your skin and leave for 5 minutes, then rinse off. • ALCOHOL AND CHOICE Yesterday I shared a story linking blog on her journey toward sobriety. The response and amount of messages I had from this was wild- it is so empowering to hear there are so many people in this space who are inspired to live a life of sobriety. I ve been attempting sobriety for 3 or so years now(with one dip into an unhealthy relationship with alcohol around dating). I get a lot of trash talk for not drinking, not wanting to- and thereby, not living a balanced life. I ve had a handful of drinks in 2018 and I m trying to live in a way that is compassionate to drinking some delicious skin contact wine with my love over special dinners but my internal desire and intention is to move very far away from this. What the people who judge me don t realise is that I spent about 10 full years of my life hugely abusing alcohol etc. in an extremely unsafe way. Many, many times I obliterated my self into situations that were unintentional, dangerous and left significant trauma. I abused alcohol to avoid depression and grief, to escape my sadness and more often than not it would drag me so much deeper into a dangerous state of being. So for now I ll keep going on my journey of sobriety and I ll keep an open heart and space for anyone in the world who is hoping to reach out to like minded, sober people and connect on a level that isn t skewed by intoxication. If you ever need support in your own journey please reach out- I am 100 available to you.

  • Thank you& for an amazing experience! The truth is that I was quite& when trying to decide whether or not I should go to this weekend, but everything fell into place, so I seized the moment. I am so glad I did! It can be a tough call to make sometimes, but even more so for those managing, a constitution, or another. Some call it being a.you have to be very about outputs& inputs in your life. Sometimes enjoying one day away, or one night out, can mean a week of. Staying out dancing until 2AM& talking until almost 4AM hit me HARD today.it was like I had a toothache from my head to my toes. I was puffy(=& no chance to take out the trash/)& literally dragging myself around. But sitting in the session with this afternoon I got exactly what I needed- to get back to my daily routine. I have really let it go this year while finishing my program& starting my business, but there is no pushing through it anymore. My body is letting me know loud& clear.& come from HABITUAL care.& then there is more room for those occasional indulgences or unexpected curveballs. As I lay here on my heating pad tonight.lesson learned& reminder earned. I mean, I help my clients with this stuff everyday.sometimes I just leave myself behind. Let me just say, I d do this weekend all over again anyway. Nothing is better than& with good, people. Feeling grateful I have traded my hospital bracelets of the past in for things like a bracelet! Off to bed& back on track!

For this I have some general tips& tricks posted(see previous post), but there is still something I really love to share with you and that is my favorite(pregnancy friendly!) spring detox shake. Here is what you do: ♡ mix ⅔ of organic coconut water(I love the one from but others are of course also fine. Only make sure that it is pure without any added flavours!) with ♡ ⅓ natural sugar free oat milk and ♡ 1 teaspoon barley grass powder(also available). This calcium and protein rich nectar will purify your tissues and provide you with antioxidants while at the same time it nourishes and rejuvenates your whole system. What else do you want Aaah of course- spring temperatures → Let s trust! And if you are interested in more lifestyle& nutrition recommendations join me on April 3rd for an Introduction to Ayurveda Workshop(see link in my bio). Have a good one!

She reclaimed, Her body, Her heart, Her mind, Her desires, Her actions and Her Voice as Her Own Sacred Trust. She decided to believe that she was not an accident, Nor were the impulses that ran so freely through Her. She decided to believe She was worthy of sitting on the throne of Her Own Spiritual Authority. There was once a Woman who decided to believe in the magic Within. She Decided, by Chris Maddox. photo

  • How many times have you been mid-conversation and formulating your reply in your head as the person you re talking to is still speaking We all do this- listen to reply- because we re concerned that our response should be valuable and well thought-out. But imagine how much more wisdom we would glean if we absorbed the 20-30 of conversations that we miss while we re doing this. Next time you re talking to someone, listen to understand- and be comfortable with the moment or two of silence that ensues while you think about what they ve just said more deeply before responding. As the saying goes, To become wise, listen.

  • YIELDING YIN IN SPRINGTIME/ As a result of last week s uplifting spring energy, which got me out the whole week doing social stuff, I have noticed that I started to get restless. My mind is- like the weather- completely jumping around. Leaving me utterly spaced out flying around without any awareness. Time to balance! For me a good way to do that is by practicing more yielding yin yoga to balance out the natural present yang spring energy. Forward folds like caterpillar, butterfly& straddle are very calming postures and if you have difficulties falling asleep these days(like me!) try legs up the wall for 5-10 minutes which will lower your heart rate resulting in relaxation. For the pregnant ladies, legs up the wall is very nourishing for your baby in the belly as it directs the blood instantly towards your placenta. Feeding and calming at the same time I think I will stay there for the rest of the morning!

  • Wowzer! And with this I am seeing many of the same popping up among family, friends& clients. Like increases like, so many conditions are blazing right now stiff necks& joints, rashes,(like loose stool.yes, I went there in the name of normalizing it). We should always be mindful of reducing, but especially during the Summer& particularly when there is a. One of the best things about& ancient traditions is they get that internally& externally. Our environment& our activities matter! Now is the time to& focus on& light, cooling foods(think cucumbers, aloe, watermelon). Listen to your body. If it wants to eat less, honor that. Avoiding heavy, greasy foods right now can really help. One heating activity you might not be aware of is being on our, especially at night. One way I have helped myself is by wearing once the sun sets, which has greatly improved my sleep, but really, cutting back overall tech use is best. There is something to the saying The are the window to the soul they are also a window to many other things. Cooling them off can help bring relief to the rest of the body, especially the(important for& overall). In an session recently( thank you,) I learned about spraying on the eyes first thing in the morning to complete their overnight process(yep, that s what eye goobers represent bye-bye toxins). Rosewater(my fave is from) is known to cool& soothe in general, so you can use it on, etc. as well. By taking care of our eyes, we are taking care of so much more! I also like to use heat-releasing points& put ice on the nape of my neck. What are your tips for yourself down

  • My favorite moment of the day, Breakfast time! I don t know why, but I just love eating breakfast while watching my favorite serie after a good training session I even plan the night before what I m going to eat. Today I prepared a healthy mug cake that tasted divine, and it s super easy to do!(the picture doesn t make it justice). All you need is a mug and the following ingredients:- 50 gr. Oatmeal- 20 gr. Soy protein(or any protein you like)- 5 gr. Unsweetened cacao powder- 100 ml. Soy milk(or any protein you like)- Pinch of salt- Cinnamon- Stevia First, blend all the dry ingredients in the mug, and then add the milk slowly. Stir until the mixture is creamy and add more milk if necessary(the mixture should be creamy but not too liquid!). Put the mug in the microwave and cook for one or two minutes until it looks cooked and smells ñomi!. Enjoy!.

  • To think that you are going to grow by sticking with the same people and constantly doing the same thing is simplistic thinking. People change and that is fact. Someone may have served a purpose in your life at a specific moment merely because that was there only purpose. As you learn and grow you challenge relationships merely because people don t learn and grow with you. The support system can be there but ultimately sometimes the let go needs to happen because the growth is large and some can t withstand the change. Embrace the change and know some are there to teach you momentarily and some are there to withstand all that you grow into and embark on. You will know who is there for the long run.- J.Persike

  • Repost from- If you are a yogi, you know about Ayurveda. If not, here s some very basics.Everyone and everything is made up of a unique combination of elements: ether, air, fire, water, and earth. There are three main doshas, or constitutions: vata, pitta, and kapha. Vatas are light in build, darker in complexion, composed of air and either. They are changeable, creative, full of ideas, sometimes with their heads in the clouds. Pittas are made of fire and water. They are medium of build, ruddier complected, attractive, intelligent, determined, focused, and quick to heat up. Kaphas are earth and water. They are sturdier, slower and steadier, compassionate and fair in complexion. When you want a day at home with no pressure, spend it with a kapha-they know how to relax. Each type is healthiest and happiest with a diet and activities that matches their digestion. Come in for an Ayurvedic consult with Cynthia, who offers individualized beauty and health treatments to balance your dosha.

  • The Moon Time wheel beautifully demonstrates how women can literally go with the flow of their menstrual cycle instead of battling against it. Think how differently you d feel each month if you new how to work in sync with you re own unique cycle. Our menstrual cycle is much like the cycle of the moon. If you tune into what s happening throughout the month, you ll know what your body needs and when to rest and slow down, paying extra attention to self-care. You ll also know when to expect your energy to renew and rise once more so you can get on with projects or get important tasks done. Maybe try let letting friends and family in on it so they too know what to expect and help support you each month. I ll be posting more on this as it is an incredible power we unknowingly behold. Remember, women are magical beings.

Cassia seeds give hair a beautiful sheen, fenugreek seeds prevent hair loss, promote hair growth, help strengthen the shaft, and are a light protein. Whole dried Amla stimulates hair growth, has wonderful conditioning properties, and strengthens hair at the roots. Dried rosemary stimulates the scalp, encourages growth, provides relief for irritated scalp, and provides a nice sheen for the hair. Dried hibiscus/sorrel flowers condition hair from its softening effects due to yielding mucilage, promotes hair growth, prevents hair loss, thickens hair, provides a red tone beneficial for red heads and brunettes(substitute with chamomile if blond). Dried mint is a soothing scalp stimulant and is wonderful for dry scalp. Neem honey is a humectant that provides moisture and shine. Goat milk soothes irritated scalp and softens hair.

  • I have been on a path of self discovery, well, my whole life, but mainly the last 13-15 yrs and it s only been magnified since having a child. I m getting to the deepest roots of this garden I ve been tending and it s led me here. I know time heals most all wounds, but the only thing that really heals is conscious love and light shown on those dark places. If you aren t able to vocalize and express your feelings, that energy is stuck inside, it goes somewhere and hides, creating scar tissue that affects that area and manifests over time to become a signal to you to address that area. In other words, that s where pain, tightness, organ related illness, etc. is created. Most physical manifestations(especially chronic or slowly long term created ailments) are formed first by thought and feeling. We are energy with matter fused around it. Something that has been very prominently shown to me lately is that I have a deep rooted anxiety. It stems from a fear of loss. I therefore feel like I have to control things, which leads sometimes to frustration or sadness when things don t go my way. Or if I cannot control something, it brings up all kinds of emotions and fear. This has been something I ve worked on for a long time, so I m pretty good now, but the layers. Everything happens for a reason.a billion reasons.and we are not supposed to control much of anything. It s rather about mutual existence of Loving ourselves and everything around us, and Trusting the flow of Life as a beautiful series of lessons. If we have respect for the way the universe wants to show us life and allow ourselves to feel the emotions but release them as quickly as we perceive them, we will live as free as a child. It s there at our fingertips. But we often have blockages. I m shinning light on mine, following that path to the light, to unconditional Love and complete Trust in the Universe. My healing is your healing. My health is your health. Love and Light to you on this glorious day, in this glorious co-existence of Life. Namaste.

  • This looks crazy i know. Repost from using Leach Therapy(Ayurveda panchakarma treatment) Raktamokshan therapy(leachTHERAPY) is one of the Panchakarmas of Ayurveda and is performed to eliminate the toxins from the bloodstream. It is a safe, painless and highly effective form of Panchakarma. Raktamokshan entails the refinement of blood, hence is administered to treat disorders pertaining to the skin, such as psoriasis, rash, eczema, acne, leucoderma and chronic itching. Enlarged liver, spleen, filariasis, varicose veins and gout can also be helped by using the blood letting therapy. Leech therapy involves an initial bite, which is usually painless(it s thought that leech saliva contains a mild anesthetic); an attachment period lasting 20 to 45 minutes, and a post attachment period, during which the site continues to bleed. The final stage provides the primary therapeutic benefit; it s caused by components in the leech s saliva, including hirudin, a protein anticoagulant that inhibits thrombin in the clotting process, as well as histamine-like substances that induce vasodilation. For instance, increase in pitta causes toxicity in the blood, thus giving way to various pitta-genic disorders. Here comes the use of Leech therapy. In such cases, a lot of tension can be relieved that was created by the pitta-genic toxins prevalent in the blood. Moreover, the process of blood letting stimulates the spleen in order to produce anti-toxic substances that can help the stimulation of immune system of the body. Thus, Raktamoksha therapy cures a number of blood-borne diseases.

  • Counting calories and not seeing results While some may see results from just reducing calories, a high-fat ketogenic diet can work wonders for others who do not respond to typical calorie reduced diets.

  • Answering questions about Ayurvedic lifestyle doesn t have to an uptight exchange. It can be light, fun and therefore make an impact. Follow Nature s system and you are good. Food is medicine, but not if you are eating just before you go to bed. It just won t digest optimally. Neither will you sleep well. Simple and easy!

  • The humble curry leaf- so fragrant, beautiful and medicinal. Used in spicing lentils, vegetables and rice dishes, it s flavor is quintessential South India. I recall cooking curry leaves from our garden in coconut oil to massage into the scalp. If anyone wants to order coconut oil infused with the medicinal benefits of this herb along with bhringaraj message me. Helps with premature graying.

  • On the surface, it may seem that our bodies mimic Nature. But the truth is that our bodies are naturally in sync with Nature. It is our poor choices such as staying up late, eating too much, too late and a sedentary lifestyle that create imbalances and illnesses. It starts out as a foggy mind, irritability, sluggish digestion, constipation, weight gain and a general sense of lack of motivation and lack of purpose. To live that way is to waste this precious opportunity called life. To experience our magnificent, embodied selves in a truly interdependent and vastly connected relationship to Nature is our birthright that we take away by ignoring our biorhythms and natural state. First step: wake up with the sun. That s a big step. Other steps will naturally follow.

  • Life is victorious or not- depending on your viewpoint. You give yourself a D or an A according to your perspective. Releasing myself from the bondage of comparison, guilt, shame, judgement, confusion for good and consciously. And choosing to stay in the realm of victory, compassion, exuberance, joy and light. Who s with me

  • I often question whether anything of Ayurveda has made an impact on my children. And this little clip is proof that it has. I asked my daughter to drink an ounce of my ginger elixir to help with her viral fever. Her response: it s too heating! Although ginger elixir is purifying and heating and may have helped her with this virus, her body is not up for it. And I trust her inner wisdom and encourage her to trust her body wisdom. Our bodies know. We must not taint our minds. We must trust ourselves.
